Promotion types

There are two types of promotions on Joom:

Platform promotions: promotions created by Joom. To learn how to participate in platform promotions and add products, please refer to Platform promotions.
Merchant discount: promotions created by merchants. To learn how to create a merchant discount and add products, refer to Merchant Discount.

The products participating in promotions are displayed on Joom website banners and on the Joom app Promotion tab.

Platform promotions	Merchant discount

You can check whether a promotion is created by the platform or a merchant in the Type column on the Promotions page.

If a customer purchases a product participating in a promotion, you will find the discount amount details on the order page.

Promotion statuses

Both Platform promotions and Merchant discount have 4 statuses.

Upcoming	Access to the promotion is open. Merchants can: Add, edit or delete promotional products; Participate in or withdraw from the promotional activity.
Preparing	Access to the promotion is closed. Merchants cannot edit the promotion anymore. At this stage, Joom: Analyzes all promotional products added; Determines the display content and form on the user front end.
Running	The promotion is taking place.
Ended	The promotion has ended.
